- Hi!
-
- I would like to write some programs on a UNIX system to test
- the TCP/IP protocol implementation on another system, say a black
- box running a TCP echo server. I need to test the IP and TCP
- implementations on such a black box.
-
- Is there any document where I can get more information on opening
- raw sockets and accessing the tcp and ip layers directly ?
- I would like to have access to the sequence numbers, ack numbers,
- checksums, etc. on the outgoing packets.
- I would also like to analyze the response from the black box
- to determine whether it conforms to TCP/IP protocol.
-
- Any suggestions on how to do this ??
-
- There are many include files in /usr/include/netinet which are never
- used with normal sockets programs. Is there any documentation for
- using these files in programs ?
-
- Thanks.
