I am working on an SNMP agent for a new product and was confronted with the requirement to be compatible with the Government Open Systems Interconnection Profile (GOSIP). The product is ethernet based and uses Internet addressing (UDP/IP). Although this is not OSI standards, is there a problem of using SNMP for your network management protocol? Can you use SNMP and Internet on the same computer as GOSIP? Any clarification or added information would be of great valure! Thanks, Russ Lund (russl@ecs.comm.m
