- Hi,
- I'm trying to change my LaserWriter IIg so it no longer thinks it's a
- LaserWriter and instead is a 'LazerWriter' in order to limit access to
- the printer. The postscript code I use only works when the printer is
- connected via LocalTalk. When it is connected via
- EtherTalk, it takes the code with no errors, but it has no effect.
- The same code works fine for our HP EtherTalk printer and for a LW IINTX.
- The IIg manual doesn't have any information on this behavior - has
- anyone else run into this and know of a work-around?
- I know there is a ROM upgrade one can get to fix various other bugs
- with the IIf and IIg, but as far as I know this isn't one of the bugs. I am
- pursuing this line with Apple....
-
- All opinions are my own....
