  32. Announcing SS'93, Canada's seventh annual high performance computing
  33. conference and exhibition, sponsored by Supercomputing Canada
  34. (Super*Can).

  36. Rapid technological advances are changing the economics of computing.
  37. Feasibility thresholds are shifting; new problems can be economically
  38. tackled, more reliable results can be obtained, leading to more
  39. efficient operations and increased competitiveness.

  73. CALL FOR PAPERS/PROPOSALS

  75. You are invited to participate actively in this event. Please submit 
  76. technical papers on the following topics:

  78.   * Applications of High Performance Computing in the energy industry,
  79.     in aerospace, chemical modelling, earth sciences and the
  80.     environment, in engineering, image processing, financial
  81.     forecasting and others
  82.   * Connectivity and networking 
  83.   * Visualization as a tool for analysis and communication
  84.   * Developments in vector technologies
  85.   * Workstations and clusters
  86.   * Parallel architectures, including compiler and software development
  87.   * Other topics relevant to high performance computing.

  89. We are also encouraging proposals for debates, demonstrations and 
  90. innovative sessions to address the issues surrounding new horizons 
  91. in high performance computing.
