- Our system is a cluster of 13 assorted VAXstations with a 4000/60 as boot
- node. Last night it got into a state where if ANY satellite tried to
- re-boot, it got as far as being a MEMBER (as shown by SHOW CLUSTER/CONTIN
- on the boot node) and then the whole cluster wedged. Halting the rebooted
- satellite unwedged it. None of the running cluster nodes were "in distress";
- all responded to SYSMAN and login requests, none were short of pool, no
- hardware errors, etc.
-
- Eventually I shut down the whole cluster and started from scratch.
-
- I suspect (and fervently hope!) that this horrid behaviour is a one-off
- mega glitch ... but has anyone else seen it recently? (VMS is 5.5-1) If
- its happening in other places I'll let you know and pester DEC, otherwise
- I'll forget it as quick as possible.
