- This is a somewhat old subject but I need some clarification. Does one need to
- have a DECW/Motif license to have the DECW$XMLIBSHR, DECW$DWTLIBSHR,
- DECW$XLIBSHR and DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON images on a system? I have an
- application that can be fired up as Motif based or terminal based and happens
- to be linked to these images. I don't want a user that only has a big VAX and
- lots of dump terminals to need a DECW/Motif license in order to run the image.
- I could dummy up the images but if the above images can be loaded (or are
- possibly "bundled" with VMS) then I don't have to worry about it. There
- was some confusion (maybe only me) about what actually happened when DECWindows
- was "unbundled" from VMS. Are the above images distributed with VMS and only
- the applications (DECW$MAIL etc...) split off or are all the files DECW$*
- part of DECW/MOTIF now.
-
- Please send me E-Mail and I'll post a summary.
- Thanks,
- Tom Fredian
