- Actually, the license to use the materials on the October OS/2 PDK has
- expired. According to the legalese, you cannot use any code from that
- CD-ROM past December 15, 1992. (IBM wants to keep everyone on fresh
- code, since that October code is getting stale.)
-
- The November OS/2 Professional Developer's Kit CD-ROM is now
- the only one available. You can order it in the U.S. by calling
- 800-3-IBM-OS2. Cost is $15 (only a shipping charge; they ship
- Airborne). It contains just about everything on the October CD-ROM,
- updated, plus, notably, a C++ compiler (beta). LAN Server 3.0 (beta)
- is no longer on the CD-ROM because it is now a shipping product.
-
- That same telephone number can be used to order the OS/2 2.1 beta on
- CD-ROM. Cost is $15 for that as well. That CD-ROM includes OS/2 2.1
- base operating system beta, MMPM/2 (multimedia extensions for OS/2),
- and Toolkit 2.1 beta.
-
- Correction: I posted earlier that there is a December PDK CD-ROM (with
- all the tools on it plus this new 2.1 code). That appears not to be
- the case. If you want OS/2 2.1 beta with all the PDK tools, order
- both CD-ROMs.
