- PPP Point-to-Point Protocol is a means to transmit network packets over
- serial and leased lines. It is similar in function to SLIP but it has
- much better features. Like (ondemand link activation, link timeout) look
- in comp.protocols.ppp their is a FAQ. Basically it like being on the backbone
- from a remote machine.
