- after a fair amount of rtfm, i am stumped. is the ibm implementation
- of tcp/ip really so braindead as to have no provision for doing
- something like
-
- local_programme | rcmd machine -l user remote_command
-
- the rsh command for os2 is a joke compared to the unix version. is
- this inherent in os2 or is it the result of a poor implementation?
-
- why is there no rcp command in os2 tcp/ip? is this impossible because
- of os2 design or because of a poor implementation?
-
- what i want to do
-
- local archive -> tcp/ip interface -> remote tape drive
-
- this is trivial on unix and xenix. is there any good reason it
- appears to be a non-trivial operation with os2?
-
- related question. have i missed something, or does ckermit for
- os2 fail to include tcp/ip? even msdos kermit has this and it
- works reasonably well.
