- Well, not running either package on my machine, but if the intent is to have
- a "safe" shutdown with no long chkdsk sessions on power-up, select shutdown,
- wait for disk activity to stop (sometimes I see pauses of up to 10 seconds in
- disk activity during shutdown), then press Ctrl-Alt-Del. When the screen clears,
- turn off the power. I have done this several times, I know that it works.

- Don't know, perhaps IBM and Novell need to convene a working conference to
- address this problem.
