- I also have an unsupported CD-ROM drive, but it works fine from my DOS on
- drive C. With OS/2, I can boot this session and use it to at least get
- data off the CD-ROM drive. For life-supporting CD-ROM use this cannot be
- stressed enough.
-
- It certainly won't give you multimedia, but it's sufficient for most
- file-oriented and DOS CD-ROM's. In fact, many DOS multimedia discs will
- perform admirably in a DOS virtual machine under OS/2. Just make sure you
- keep DOS available on your OS/2 machine (give it maybe 10 megs), and then
- create an object to Boot from Drive C (just like you would Boot from Drive A).
- It works like a charm.
