  12. I had the most peculiar problem to date. I was playing
  13. around with Beta drivers to improve system performance.
  14. Well they Trapped. That's ok.

  16. The last trap I got would not reboot. I claimed that PSSHELL.EXE was
  17. not an executable! Turns out, after over two hours of floppy swapping,
  18. that the Extended Attribute for \os2 and its subs were corrupted. 
  19. OS/2 booted from GA would not fix it, it claimed that c:\ was busy
  20. by another process wether it was the GA or the SP chkdsk. OS/2 copy
  21. would not work neither would dir complaining of corrupted EA
  22.  
  23. In last resort I copied all of \os2 and subs into c:\, patched config.sys.
  24. I was able to reboot from the second copy of OS/2and chkdsk fixed the \os2.
  25. I then cleaned up the system and came back to where I was minus OS*.ini.

  27. I would have liked booting not to present a problem. 
  28. CHKDSK did fix problem but after the system booted. 
  29. What is needed would be to run chkdsk earlier. If it's not possible,
  30. check the EA before you try to run files. Deleting the EA would probably
  31. have worked because only thing corrupted was the EA's for the \os2.

  33. Aside from that I am an happy customer!
