- Here's the complete rundown on icons.

- (1) You can now attach any icon file (.ICO) to any arbitrary set of
- files (like all your .DOC files, for example). To do so, use the
- AddIcon utility, available via anonymous ftp from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu.

- (2) OS/2 2.1 introduces parent inheritance of icons. Data files take
- on the icons of their parents, automatically, assuming the
- associations have been made. This release of OS/2 should be available
- in the near future.

- (3) Someone has written an icon utility that I'm still trying to track
- down. It allows you to drag icons to arbitrary objects and change
- those objects. Stay tuned -- I'll post when (if) I find it.

- (4) You should be able to create templates with your preferred icons
- for new objects.
