  18. Here's the complete rundown on icons.

  20. (1) You can now attach any icon file (.ICO) to any arbitrary set of
  21. files (like all your .DOC files, for example).  To do so, use the
  22. AddIcon utility, available via anonymous ftp from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu.
  23.  
  24. (2) OS/2 2.1 introduces parent inheritance of icons.  Data files take
  25. on the icons of their parents, automatically, assuming the
  26. associations have been made.  This release of OS/2 should be available
  27. in the near future.

  29. (3) Someone has written an icon utility that I'm still trying to track
  30. down.  It allows you to drag icons to arbitrary objects and change
  31. those objects.  Stay tuned -- I'll post when (if) I find it.

  33. (4) You should be able to create templates with your preferred icons
  34. for new objects.
