  12. I got the OS/2 2.1 CD-ROM and created install floppies from the CD
  13. using another computer.  I have a Western Digital Piranha 200 meg HD
  14. (don't know the model #) and a Fujitsu 500 meg FJ2624A.  Both are IDE
  15. hard drives.  It appears that the beta barfs on the Fujitsu drive.
  16. On the second disk (install disk 1), it accesses the hard disk,
  17. and the light stays on forever (I really mean indefinite), and it
  18. gives an error message stating that FDISK won't run.  I removed
  19. the Fujitsu by removing it from the CMOS setup, and it booted fine
  20. and I got the menu.  This seems pretty major.  Someone needs to get
  21. this do IBM, preferable without paying CI$.  (that's why I wont
  22. do it myself).

  24. I bought that drive instead of a SCSI to avoid SCSI problems....
  25. and look what I get.  OS/2 2.1 beta pukes on the IDE but likes
  26. SCSI....
