- Actually, you can move icons over a little at a time. Here's how...

- Instead if clicking in the middle of the icon, click on the side facing the
- direction you want to move it (have the mouse pointer right on the edge of
- the icon, or text, depending on where you want to move the icon). Now drag
- the icon, and voila, since the pointer is now no longer over the old icon
- position, it lets you drop the icon.

- So it seems that if you want to drag the icon, and you have selected it by
- dragging it from the middle of the icon, until the pointer moves off of
- the old icon position, you cannot drop it. But by grabbing it from the
- side, the pointer will go off the old icon position almost right away,
- allowing you much finer icon movement.
