- I've noticed that some games (eg F117-A Stealth Fighter) that use the
- PC speaker for sound run incredibly slowly under OS/2. I'd suggest running
- WC with the sound off. Or better yet, invest in a sound card - my Thunderboard
- was a bit pricy but well worthwhile, and I think the price has dropped since
- I bought mine, to about $100 by mail.
-
- Interestingly, I tried playing WCII SO2 under DOS and couldn't - it
- crashed so frequently I couldn't finish even a single mission. It still
- crashed occasionally when I ran it under OS/2, but that happened infrequently
- enough that it wasn't a big deal. Kinda supports IBM's claim that OS/2 is
- a better DOS than DOS!
