  13. My system has been running great for quite a while with two IDE hard disks
  14. and a Tandberg Streamer (SCSI ID 2) on an Adaptec 1542B. Now I've connected
  15. a Fujitsu M2624 520MB SCSI disk to the 1542B and restarted the system.
  16. Starting FDISKPM I had the 3rd disk clearly on display and (I think) set it to
  17. be a logical drive. However, when FDISKPM asked me to shutdown and restart
  18. the system upon exit, I was stupid enough not to follow this instruction.
  19. Instead, I killed FDISKPM manually from a text window and did a few other
  20. things (not related to the disk setup) first. Then I shut down.
  21. When rebooting my system, OS/2 would not boot anymore, giving error messages
  22. like that it cannot find 'E:\OS2\SYSTEM\COUNTRY.SYS' (E: is my OS/2 partition
  23. on IDE drive 2), and it actually messes up my OS/2 file system. This happens
  24. no matter what I do, with every possible SCSI ID, with or without the tape 
  25. streamer being connected. I've even had to reinstall everything anew (several
  26. times!), but the same thing happens whenever the SCSI disk is connected.

  28. If it hadn't worked in the beginning, i could blame the disk or the drivers,
  29. but I WAS able to boot with this disk connected at first and I DID have this
  30. disk visible in FDISKPM.

  32. What's wrong here? Please help, I'm desperate (I've spent 2 days and 2 nights
  33. with hardly any sleep just trying - reinstalling - trying - re.... )
