- Odd, I too have a VGA-1024, and it works fine. I can e-mail you my
- svgadata.pmi file if you wish. I use an 800x600x256 WIN-OS2 desktop,
- which works fine. Unfortunately, the Trident drivers don't set the
- mode properly, so I'm SOL WRT a hi-res PM desktop at this time...
-
- (I know about the Joel drivers, but I've gotten used to seamless Windows)
-
- I have some details about VGA registers, so I can interpret most of
- the SVGADATA.PMI file, but there is one block which I believe to be
- ATI-specific, where ports at location 0x1ce and 0x1cf are accessed.
- Once I get specs on that, I may be able to jury-rig my own
- svgadata.pmi file.

- Try running "SVGA ON DOS", and copy the resulting svgadata.dos file
- over your svgadata.pmi file. That's the only way I could generate the
- file from native DOS.

- Me too. So all those neat XL-based drivers don't seem to do anything
- for me.
-
