- Better yet get a program called SCSICNTL put out by Roy Neese of Adaptec.
- I'm not sure where to find it but you can use one of the archie servers to
- locate it, which is how I found it on the net. It's not supported by
- Adaptec and I believe Roy did the whole thing on his own time. Anyway it's
- a great program, unfortunately it won't run under OS/2 so I have a copy on
- a DOS boot disk that I use when the need arises. It gives you more
- information than you could possibly want about devices attached to an
- Adaptec SCSI adapter.
- Other than that follow the advice Orville gave. I have a Maxtor
- SCSI hard drive, an HP (really a Toshiba 3301) CD-ROM drive and an old
- TK-50 tape drive all on my Adaptec 1542B and they all work perfectly id'ed
- as:
-
- Maxtor HD - SCSI ID 0
- Toshiba CD-ROM - SCSI ID 3
- DEC TK-50 Tape Drive - SCSI ID 4
- Adaptec 1542B - SCSI ID 7
