- I just installed GA plus the October service pak on a brand new
- machine. I'm still running the November beta release on my old
- machine. New machine: 486/DX2(66) AMI Enterprise II motherboard,
- AMI SCSI Controller (Series 44), Toshiba 838 megabyte SCSI-2 HDD,
- 3.5 and 5.25 high density floppies, a slow Stealth VRAM 1meg video
- adapter (with no OS/2 drivers, of course). 16 megs RAM.

- The funny thing: Install had a few troubles, mostly with my mouse
- going undetected. My fault, didn't configure the CMOS for the bus
- mouse. So, finally all is more or less okay. Buton about every other
- or every third warm or cold boot, the system goes through CHKDSK, as
- though I had not shut down. But I have consistently used the shutdown
- procedure. So, I ask, "Anybody got any ideas as to why this is
- happening, and what I can do about it????" TIA!
