  27. I merely have to report receiving the SAME message, and apart from the
  28. sound effects, the same symptoms. I am getting severely impatient with
  29. all the chkdsk /f:3 corrective actions that I am taking.
  30. In MY case, this did not start occurring until some time AFTER I applied
  31. the SLU / Service Pack / Bugfix Pack, or whatever you call it, and
  32. although I had hopes, it did NOT go away after I applied the UHPFS.DLL
  33. bugfix.
  34. I imagine the sound effects are hardware dependent. I am running a
  35. Seagate IDE drive [any sound drowned in the beep accompanying the error
  36. messages.]
