- I merely have to report receiving the SAME message, and apart from the
- sound effects, the same symptoms. I am getting severely impatient with
- all the chkdsk /f:3 corrective actions that I am taking.
- In MY case, this did not start occurring until some time AFTER I applied
- the SLU / Service Pack / Bugfix Pack, or whatever you call it, and
- although I had hopes, it did NOT go away after I applied the UHPFS.DLL
- bugfix.
- I imagine the sound effects are hardware dependent. I am running a
- Seagate IDE drive [any sound drowned in the beep accompanying the error
- messages.]
- Best of Luck.
