- Sure. It's not that hard to do with the xgasetup.pro file.

- (The XGA-2 senses the monitor pins to determine the monitor ID. The
- drivers then read the DMQS file that corresponds to that monitor ID and
- use that information to set resolution dependent information. Since
- many monitors just copied the 8514 ID, an escape was designed into the
- drivers. That escape was the xgasetup.pro file, where it says that the
- monitor attached has different properties than its ID suggests, and that
- the true resolution properties are to be read out of another file. The
- xgasetup.pro file has other functions, but this is the one you might like.)
