- NOTE:
- Please excuse me if any of my numbers are off. I haven't read

- You can configure the OS/2 WPS to look like Windows. However,
- it's been suggested that you give the WPS a chance first.

- I haven't used 3.1 so I can't really compare, however, OS/2 is
- written to take advantage of the 386/486. DOS, the backbone
- behind WIN 3.1 is not. Multitasking is very good, however,
- there are times when it will be poor if you don't change some
- parameters. One example is running DOS comm program, however,
- there's information in the OS/2 FAQ on how to improve
- multitasking in this case.
-
- With out going into the "downloading-while-formatting-while

-
- You're complaining about OS/2's requirements, you haven't seen
- NT's. Take OS/2's cost, HD requirement, and memory
- requirement (not the minimum number, but the functional one)
- and multiply them by 2-3. You now have NT's requirements.
- You do get system security and network support included in NT
- tho'.
-
- I suggest you read the advocacy groups for OS/2 and NT,
- read the OS/2 FAQ, and go to the library and read up on
- articles published in '92 on OS/2 (and NT). PC Week published
- an entire insert on OS/2 during the summer that's pretty much
- unbiased.
-
- Also check out ftp-os2.nmsu.edu in the "/pub/os2/2.0/info"
- directory for information on OS/2.
