- My understanding is that the expiration date on the PDK software and
- the 2.1 beta is purely a legal one (no software checking). IBM
- usually does not make their software stop working when it expires.
- I don't know if the IBM lawyers have some way of knowing, though :-)

- Just for grins I tried booting my system last night with the 2.1 beta
- with the date set to Jan 4, 1999. It booted just fine.
