- Well, guess I'm the only one who took the bait and called LAVA of ontario
- canada and found out about their 1024x768x24 bit card. What I was told:
-
- The card is based on the IBM 8514 chip (or chipset ?). It is not VGA
- compatible and requires a VGA card to use for "passthrough" service. But the
- result is true 16 mil color at 1024x768, and the 2.0 drivers are avalible
- now, including seamless capability, said to be developed in tandem with IBM.
- So there is apparently a way to get 24 bit color now under os/2.
- Lava is at (416) 674-5942.
