  18. One of the ways ATI tries to improve performance is by mapping the 2MB of
  19. video ram into the first 16MB of address space, in order to avoid having to
  20. page the video ram in and out through A000-BFFF.  Of course, if you have 16MB
  21. of ram installed, there is nowhere to perform this mapping.  There are 
  22. drivers available from ATI which allow use of the accelerator features without
  23. using the memory window for the video ram.

  25. I am using the card under dos, windoze and os2 in a 486/50 with 16MB of ram
  26. quite happily...
