- I can understand this, but this leads me to a question. I know that for
- desktop customizations I basically have 2 choices when reinstalling a new
- version of the OS. a) Start from scratch, b) Hope that something like
- WPSBKUP works across versions. What about customizations that consist of
- adding new files. For example, I may have added a few new .DLL files, or
- customized my WIN.INI file, or added a couple of utilities...

- While some things can easily be added to directories on a different disk,
- the logical place for a lot of this stuff seems to be the directory tree
- containing the operating system. This of course gets destroyed when you
- reformat.

- Has anyone worked out a "perfect" solution to this problem? Writing every
- little change on a piece of paper just doesn't sound realistic.
