- I'm considering purchasing OS/2 for my machine and should like to
- draw upon the knowledge of existing users...
-
- I have a 33MHz 386SX with 4Mb RAM and a 1991 AMI BIOS (ACER
- motherboard). The BIOS i.d. ends with -F which I understand to
- indicate that the keyboard BIOS should be suitable. However, I've
- had some problems with the Coherent OS in that I couldn't use
- virtual consoles due to keyboard scan code set 3 not functioning
- correctly - does OS/2 use scan set 3 at all?
-
- I have a 170Mb IBM IDE drive partitioned as 70Mb primary DOS and
- 40Mb extended (DRDOS 6.0). Would it be possible to install OS/2
- in the remaining 60Mb and allow it to access the DOS partitions,
- or would I have to start again with a clean hard disk?
-
- I hope someone can answer these questions for me!
-
- Thanks in advance
-
- Mike
