- I've had a problem since 2.1 beta. Before this I didn't do much with
- windows programs except in full screen. Therefore I don't know if this
- is a new problem with the beta or one that has existed before or some
- mix of the two.
-
- I load a windows program with all of its supporting files into a directory.
- Then I create a new program object on the WPS Desktop and fill in the
- file name, working directory, the title on the General page. When I
- look at the Session Page, I find that it has selected OS/2 Window as
- the session type! However, if I migrate the application (a real pain since
- it has to scan the entire partition on which the program resides and since
- I have to unselect all of the other applications it finds [I specify only
- window programs so it is not as bad as it could be]), it is set up properly.
- We shouldn't have to migrate a program to make it work as a window's program.
- If I don't it only works as a full screen Windows program. If I modify the
- settings of the program (as I did in one case to restrict that one to
- COM1 only), then it wont run at all even if I open full screen windows
- and use the File Run menu option to run it. I hope this is a bug that
- will be fixed in the released code. Has anyone else seen it.
-
- Another oddity. When I do migrate window programs (whether from the
- installation or afterwards), the session is selected as DOS Window rather
- than WIN-OS2. However, the settings are marked as WIN-OS/2 settings.
-
- One further thing. When I look at Win-OS/2 settings, it has an item
- Win runmode but nothing is shown or selectable. Is this a not-yet
- implemented item?
