- ------
- Just a warning: You *MUST* have MMPM/2 (the MultiMedia Presentation
- Manager extensions for OS/2) installed before you can use Creative
- Labs' beta OS/2 CD-Rom driver. MMPM/2 is included in the $15 DAP CD
- mentioned above. (You can buy MMPM/2 separately, but it's $90, and
- *that's* with a discount.) I think the new OS/2 2.1 beta also includes
- MMPM/2, and the docs for the CD-Rom driver state that OS/2 2.1 will
- include MMPM/2 as well. (At least, 2.1 will include enough of MMPM/2
- to run the CL CD-Rom driver.)
-
- I'm running the CL CD-Rom under OS/2 (GA+SP) with MMPM/2, and it seems
- to work fine. I was lucky, though; if I hadn't ordered the MMPM/2
- Toolkit, I wouldn't be able to access the drive under OS/2. (And as it
- was, I had a little trouble bootstrapping: The MMPM/2 Toolkit came on
- a CD! I had to boot DOS, copy the Toolkit files to a Bernoulli
- cartridge, reboot with OS/2, and install MMPM/2 from the Bernoulli.)
