- If you want to run OS/2 2.1 in 4 megs, use NC's MENU.EXE as your user
- interface.
-
- Change the Protshell to cmd.exe or try menu.exe. You can launch DOS, OS/2 and
- WinOS2 apps from the configurable menu. Alt+Esc switches you around your open
- tasks.
-
- On a 386DX/25 with 4 megs, I had a OS/2 FS session, DOS Window, Winos2 3.1
- (with Word for Windows 2.0c open), PMseek and PMdcalc all open.
-
- The speed was still very good.
-
- After I installed the Netware Requester, it took up some of the RAM, so I
- could only run 2-3 apps with good performance. I reduced the DISKCACHE to 128k
- from 256K and this helped a bit.
-
- But it was very usable thanks to Norton Commmander for OS/2.
