- info looks for "dir" by default. If I recall correctly, my "dir" came with some
- other package (it's been some time--sorry). If you want to read a particular
- info file, then use 'info -f filename'.

- If you are unable to find a suitable "dir" topnode, I can mail mine.
- If you have "dir", then try setting the env var INFOPATH. My copy of info
- (v 1.44) was ported by Rommel (very nice), and has \etc\info as part of
- the search path.
