- I am not here to do any "service." Furthermore, could the person explain to
- me where in the Interview with David B., Gates explained how he build the
- company? It is obvious that this person did not view the interview but
- is raging inside because I said the truth and he didn't like it.
-
- "MS-Haters don't care what they are destroying," which leads me to the
- question if you believe about the "Microsoft ueber alles" idea? If they
- provide a good product, with professional service, I will use it. If
- they don't, and this is the same for IBM, I will not.
-
- And yes, I had bad experiences with IBM such as requesting information
- on their RS/6000 models. Nevertheless, in the OS/2 area I was happy.
- At least when I called IBM about their 16 MB Token-Ring adaptors, they
- were able to provide me with the answer right away. A while ago I
- have called Microsoft about their Macro-Assembler. I was given the
- number by another person at Microsoft to call this number where they
- have "experienced" professionals and "know the answers." I called,
- I ask the person what the new features are (last revised), and he didn't
- know. He went on by telling me since he is not sure, he will send me
- information about the product. Well, I am still waiting. Do you think
- it takes over 4 months for it to arrive? I don't think so. Guess what I
- did, called Borland. Afterall, I am not the one loosing the sale. I
- can and will go to another place if they can not provide the service.
- This goes for IBM as well, no exceptions. The difference is, IBM got better
- and Microsoft worse. IBM has still areas where it can improve, which I
- won't go into in this message, but they have gotten better.
-
- Like I said, you don't like what I say, don't read it. I will say whatever
- I feel like saying and I will continue to do so.
-
- Best Regards,
- Mark K.
