  12. I help to manage a NetWare net where we have 'roving' Windows 3.1 users.  
  13. Anyone can login from any PC and get their desktop; this is achieved by 
  14. keeping the users' INIs and GRPs on their net drive.  EXEs, DLLs, etc are 
  15. stored on the local hard drives.

  17. One problem with this setup is that "setup /p", when run from the program 
  18. manager, returns an error saying that the user is "attempting to run setup 
  19. from windows and that he should run setup from outside of windows".  
  20. "Setup /p" is a very handy trick for rebuilding damaged program groups 
  21. based on the user's SETUP.INF file.  Under Win30, "setup /p" worked 
  22. wonderfully for roving users.  I'd appreciate any advice on getting "setup 
  23. /p" to work properly under Win31 in a roving situation.
