  11. Hello there,

  13.     I have the following questions:
  14. 1. TO simulate disk cache with dos and windows you can either put the
  15. statements
  16. a) devicehigh=c:\smartdrv.sys     in the config.sys file or
  17. b) loadhigh=c:\smartdrv.exe       in the autoexec.bat file
  18.  
  19. What is the difference between the 2 statements?
  20. Also, how much cache would be recommended to have with a total of 4MB ram when
  21. you run windows?

  23. 2. I have aproblem with the path statement of dos.
  24. If I type the following statement in the dos prompt
  25. PATH = C:\DOS; C:\WINDOWS; C:\STACKER;
  26. in capital letters it works but if I put it in a batch file such as the
  27. autoexec.bat file it tells me "Too many parameters". Does anybody have any
  28. ideas as to what the problem might be?
