- How do I setup a deskjet (or actually, Olivetti JP350S which states
- to emulate HP deskjet +) such that it accepts and uses downloadable
- softfonts (to speed up printing for a selection of mostly used fonts)?
-
- I can generate laserjet soft fonts from PostScript fonts (using
- an Adobe foundry program) and convert them to deskjet soft fonts
- (using a PD program 'djfont'). They are recognized and can be installed
- by both the Olivetti and the HP deskjet drivers. They can be assigned
- names of PostScript font otherwise available via ATM also, or different
- names. In neither case any text using one of them comes out using the
- downloading mechanism - only graphics printing is used.
-
- What is the soft font installation option of the drivers good for
- if it does not work?
