  11. How do I setup a deskjet (or actually, Olivetti JP350S which states 
  12. to emulate HP deskjet +) such that it accepts and uses downloadable 
  13. softfonts (to speed up printing for a selection of mostly used fonts)?

  15. I can generate laserjet soft fonts from PostScript fonts (using 
  16. an Adobe foundry program) and convert them to deskjet soft fonts 
  17. (using a PD program 'djfont'). They are recognized and can be installed 
  18. by both the Olivetti and the HP deskjet drivers. They can be assigned 
  19. names of PostScript font otherwise available via ATM also, or different 
  20. names. In neither case any text using one of them comes out using the 
  21. downloading mechanism - only graphics printing is used.

  23. What is the soft font installation option of the drivers good for 
  24. if it does not work?
