- I have two questions on NT (I think they'll be easy to answer):
-
- (1) DOS programs don't REALLY seem to be compatible. If I have a text
- program, that seems to work fine. However, other DOS programs that
- require graphics access (VGA-type access) won't run!
-
- Is the NT DOS emulation only for text mode, or can VGA stuff run as
- well? If so, how?
-
- (2) On FLEXBOOT: I have three operating systems: DOS, NT, and UNIX. It's
- easy to boot either DOS or NT via FLEXBOOT. Another partition, when
- it's marked active, will let me boot UNIX as well (partition one is a
- FAT file system; paritition two is a UNIX file system).
-
- Currently, I need to run fdisk under UNIX to mark the DOS/NT partition
- as active, and then the disk manager under NT to mark UNIX active when
- I'm going back.
-
- I tried adding a line to BOOT.INI, but NT seems to want to find a file
- called "ntosldr.exe" (or something like that) in the UNIX partition.
- Clearly, that won't work (NT doesn't understand the UNIX filesystem).
-
- Any ideas of what to add to BOOT.INI so that NT will boot off of the
- paritition as if it was the "active" partition?
-
- Thanks for any help ...
