  12. Is it possible to use Sun's desktop CD with the October release?  I have
  13. an Adaptec 1742 in enhanced mode.  When the CD drive is connected, the
  14. 1742 reports a Sony 801 then the system hangs (never gets to read the
  15. boot sector on the Quantum 425 SCSI HD).

  17. I do not need the drive to install (NT already installed using WinNT.EXE)
  18. or for CD audio.  I just want to read other CDs.  While you're thinking
  19. about this, can the drive be used from DOS for standard Windows 3.1 use?
