- Is it possible to use Sun's desktop CD with the October release? I have
- an Adaptec 1742 in enhanced mode. When the CD drive is connected, the
- 1742 reports a Sony 801 then the system hangs (never gets to read the
- boot sector on the Quantum 425 SCSI HD).
-
- I do not need the drive to install (NT already installed using WinNT.EXE)
- or for CD audio. I just want to read other CDs. While you're thinking
- about this, can the drive be used from DOS for standard Windows 3.1 use?
-
- Thanks much,
- Ken
