- This is exactly the setup I have on my home machine, and it
- works fine. DOS knows that the D: disk is there, but it doesn't
- try to do anything with it.

- I'm not sure what the problem is. You might want to try making
- a no-frills minimal boot floppy and start with that, and then
- add stuff to config.sys and autoexec.bat until you track down.
- You might find that something is referencing the disk for some
- reason.
