  13. I am trying to write an application that uses Visual Basic as its
  14. front-end and uses Access as its underlying database. I have managed 
  15. to get Access to acknowledge that it is being talked to using:

  17. "microsoft access|pymsmngr" 
  18.  
  19. as the LinkTopic (pymsmngr is the name of my database in access). What
  20. I can't do is get any information back because I don't know what to use
  21. as the LinkItem. I've tried alot of stabs in the dark, and I've even
  22. read the Access manual, but I can't find anything to tell me what syntax
  23. I need to use.

  25. The error message I get is:

  27. "Foreign application won't perform DDE action or method"...
  28.  
  29. Any help or educated guesses, or pointers as to where I can find out how
  30. to make it work will be gratefully received!?
