- Hello,
-
- I'm running Windows 3.1 on a Sperry '286 machine souped up with
- an extra 4 MB of memory & a co-processor. It's sluggish, but
- meets my needs...
-
- My only problem is that entering data from the keyboard is a
- tedious experience. I may have to hit a key two or three times
- before it registers, and then it might double the character on my
- screen. I figure that my machine is just too slow.
-
- But here's where it gets wierd. Word for Windows uses the keyboard
- just fine. That is, when I'm typing in Word for Windows, they keyboard
- works great, BUT when I go to save the file that I've typed, I have
- the same problem.
-
- Oh, and after a while, what I am typing "flips", that is, my lower
- case letter come out in upper case, and if I put the shift lock on, I
- get lower case. And, no matter what I do, I can't type any numbers.
-
- Does anyone one know of any software setting or routine that I can
- add to make Windows check for a keypress more often?
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
