  10. Can anyone recommend a text dbms that can store a couple of thousand
  11. text objects, index them and allow keyword search with logical operations
  12. like AND/OR, and NOT on the full text?

  14. Features like the following would be nice:
  15.  
  16.     Warning for collisions of document names
  17.     on-the-fly compression/decompression of the text.
  18.     long document titles 
  19.     good browsing facilities for titles and contents
  20.     Ability to sort, index, and recover files in popular WP
  21.         formats would be a real plus.

  23. I know of packages like BASIS that do this in the mini/mainframe
  24. world. I'd like a MS-Windows friendly package. This is for my own use
  25. so $$$ is an issue.
