- Dear Netters,
- 'till now I've learned two things:
- a) there is nothing people cannot get upset about :) (no comments please:)
- b) alt 0194 could be used as a sign to represent real numbers.
-
- I must admit - I didn't know about this sign representing the real
- numbers - but maybe this is just the accumulated ignorance of
- a) economists
- b) germans :)
-
- What I would like is the sign used uniquely in the literature (I read :)
- which has a vertical stroke on the left hand side of the char.
- I appreciate the hint with alt 0194, but for me it would only be the
- 2nd choice (if nothing else works) since my idea of word processing
- is not to use the solution the program offers me, but I expect the
- program to use the solution I want.
-
- Do you have any suggestons on other kinds of numbers, like "normal"
- numbers or "complex" numbers?
-
- Thanks again for alt 0194
- Olaf Winkelhake
