- I have tried using macsee.zip (or macsee20.zip) in Win 3.1. Although the
- author claims that the program is capable of reading 800K and 1.44 Mb
- disks, the 800K part failed. It is able to read my High-Dens Mac disks,
- but failed to read in my Mac text files (it even hangs in the middle of
- reading the folders).
-
- I managed to get a copy of mac-ette.zip in 134.95.80.1, by using Archie
- Archive Search. It WORKS but only on 1.44 Mb disks. The author claims
- that 800K disks (and anything lower) are almost impossible to read
- without extra hardware. This is a DOS version, but I'm happy with it,
- for now. Does anyone out there in networld know where I could get a
- better Mac reader, eg one that is Win 3.1 based? I just want to read
- text files and transfer binary files.
-
- Thanks
