- A couple of days ago, I asked for opinions on Word, Word for Windows, and
- WordPerfect. I received a tremendous response (thanks to all who took the
- time to send me mail).
-
- By and large, the overwhelming majority recommended Word for Windows. Many
- pointed out the interface was very similar to that of Word for the Mac (which
- was important to me). Almost everyone said steer clear of Word (no graphical
- interface).
-
- A couple of people were very happy with WordPerfect, but most had negative
- things to say about it. Several people talked about AMI Pro and, were it
- not for my desire to maintain an interface with which I was familiar, I might
- have seriously considered buying it.
-
- Sorry this is so short on detail. Just thought I'd let folks know what the
- majority of responders suggested.
