- I have a two-pronged question to ask here.
-
- I am considering buying a graphics package, something along the lines
- of Corel Draw/Harvard Graphics for general graphics presentations
- with my work (drawings of equipment, expt set-up, etc) I want it
- to run under windows, primarlily to allow compatability with WFW
- and Excel, printing under the one driver, pasting to Word.
- Are these packages the best options for such purpose?
-
- The second part is: I use a package on an SGI which generates
- postscript (or HPGL) output files. The package itself makes annotation
- of the files very difficult. Besides, as a PS file, one is reduced
- to cutting/pasting/photocopying to incorporate the diagram anywhere
- else.
- Now, in an ideal world, I would like to be able to use the
- package chosen above, to read in the postscript or HPGL diagram,
- display it as a diagram on my PC, allow me to modify the diagram
- further (ie add annotations, second axes, etc), save the new file
- in windows (.BMP?) format, paste it to WordFW, print it out under
- my windows driver on my non-postcript laser printer (Canon LBP-4).
-
- No doubt I am asking too much here?? :-)
- Are there any packages that will allow such an operation?
- Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
- Thanks,
-
- Ross
