- I'm trying to understand how to lock and unlock files in dos. (v 5.00) I would
- like to use the XCOPY command on a file while in a DOS shell from Lotus (for
- dos) and I get a "Shared file violation " (or something close to that)
- This happens whenever I try to XCOPY the file I have opened in Lotus; That
- makes sense, but is there a way around it?
-
- Can anyone help me out? What does the DOS SHARE.EXE do? I doesn't seem to
- matter if I invoke that or not. Am I barking up the wrong tree? (no pun here..)
-
- Thanks in advance... erik@sol1.lrsm.upenn.edu
