- I have a 286 12Mhz that (although it's outdated by most standards) still
- works fine for me. Since I only have a 70 Meg HD now, I plan on adding
- another in the available half-height slot. My existing HD has a 28 ms
- access time and is RLL (ugh!) interfaced. So far my choices seem to be:
-
- Seagate ST277R-1 RLL 28ms 5.25" HH 60 Meg approx. $219
- Microsci HH1120 " " " " 120 Meg " $390
-
- I've heard good reports about Seagate but not much (pro or con) about
- Micro Science.
-
- Can anyone offer me either past experience with either of these two
- drives or perhaps point me to any other possibilities I might have
- overlooked (yes - I use 'pklite' and might soon implement 'stacker'
- but I'd still like to add more physical disk space anyway to bring the hardware
- up to "reasonable")
-
- Thanks for any advice (direct E'mail OK since this is probably not
- among the most common issues for general discussion).
