  16. In your CONFIG.SYS, insert the following line:
  17. SHELL=x:\COMMAND.COM /e:640 /p

  19. Where x is the drive from which you normally boot your system (Drive C: 
  20. probably). Please note that if a copy of COMMAND.COM cannot be found in 
  21. the root of the drive you specify, you will need a boot disk for your 
  22. first floppy drive to correct your error. 8-)
  23. Also note that the /e: parameter can be set to numbers higher or lower 
  24. than I specified in my sample. 
  25. If you haven't heard of 4DOS, you might want to take a closer look at 
  26. some of the tricks it does with the environment.
