  16. I writing to request suggestions for a US income tax preparation program to
  17. run on a DOS-only (640K) computer.

  19. My mom has recently had a bad experience with the JK Lasser program from
  20. ChipSoft (poorly redesigned user interface [lots of Alt-key combinations] and
  21. wouldn't load background data from last year... last year's version did not
  22. have these problems... she did call tech support re: background data).

  24. Program should be able to handle multiple returns (she does my sister's taxes
  25. for her), loading data from Quicken would be really nice, and ability to
  26. transfer background data (names, dependents, etc.) from year-to-year would be
  27. good, too. I guess ease-of-use is a big concern here.
