- [Apologies if this isn't the best group for this; feel free to tell me where
- to go if this isn't the best place!]
-
- I writing to request suggestions for a US income tax preparation program to
- run on a DOS-only (640K) computer.
-
- My mom has recently had a bad experience with the JK Lasser program from
- ChipSoft (poorly redesigned user interface [lots of Alt-key combinations] and
- wouldn't load background data from last year... last year's version did not
- have these problems... she did call tech support re: background data).
-
- Program should be able to handle multiple returns (she does my sister's taxes
- for her), loading data from Quicken would be really nice, and ability to
- transfer background data (names, dependents, etc.) from year-to-year would be
- good, too. I guess ease-of-use is a big concern here.
-
- Thanks for your help. I'll try to follow this group for a while, but e-mail
- would be nice...
